Richard Stumpf, the founder and CEO of Atlas Music Publishing, has been re-elected to the Board of Directors for the Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP). This marks Stumpf's fifth consecutive term serving on the Board.
The AIMP was formed in 1977 by a group of Los Angeles music publishers, and has local chapters in Los Angeles, New York and Nashville. The organization's primary focus is to educate and inform music publishers about the most current industry trends and practices by providing a forum for the discussion of the issues confronting the music publishing industry.
The AIMP is dedicated to serving the independent music publishing community by providing continuing professional education; analysis of trends and developments in creative, business, and legal areas; music copyright exploitation opportunities; and opportunities to cultivate professional relationships in a collegial environment.
Richard Stumpf is a veteran music publishing executive with over 20+ years of music and entertainment industry experience. A songwriters’ advocate and prominent publishing executive, Stumpf has also served on the Boards for National Music Publishers Association, American Association of Independent Music, and The Recording Academy, for which he is a voting member.
