NEW YORK, NY (July 7, 2015) – Atlas Music Publishing has signed two-time JUNO Awards Producer of the Year, Brian Howes, to an exclusive global music publishing deal, as announced today by Richard Stumpf, Founder/CEO, Atlas Music Publishing.

Producer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, A&R professional and studio owner – the Los Angeles-based Brian Howes’ name crops up repeatedly as a writer and producer on massive hit recordings by Nickelback, Simple Plan, Hedley, Skillet, Hinder, Daughtry, David Cook, Puddle of Mudd, Boys Like Girls/Taylor Swift, and For King & Country, among others. Brian has earned multiple awards for his work including SOCAN’s International Achievement Award (2010); two JUNO Awards for Producer of the Year for his work on Hedley and Nickelback (2012 and 2007); a BMI Pop Song of the Year and Top Digital Song awards for Hinder’s “Lips of an Angel” (2008); a Dove award for his work on Skillet’s “Comatose”, and a Grammy Award for the band For King & Country.

“If you’re going for music's version of the Stanley Cup, Brian's the guy you want skating on your team,” said Richard Stumpf. He is a powerhouse producer / writer with a skill set that makes him deadly in numerous genres. We couldn't be more excited to welcome Brian to the Atlas team.”

“I’m pumped to be joining Rich and his all-star team of industry pros at Atlas. Their roster is lean and mean and includes some of the best on the planet. They recognize that I love and want to succeed in many genres of music and are going to create opportunities so I can. And besides, the guy loves hockey as much as I do … no brainer!!”, enthuses Howes.

These days Howes is focused on two main fronts: producing records at Van Howes Studios, his top-tier recording studio in Studio City, California and expanding his songwriting efforts in partnership with Atlas Music Publishing.

The deal with Howes follows a string of recent signings by indie powerhouse Atlas Music Publishing, including the Counting Crows, Van Halen, Dan the Automator, and rising indie star, Alex Winston.
