Congratulations to our COO Phil Cialdella who has just been announced as an MLC Unclaimed Funds Committee member!

Richard Stumpf, Founder/CEO, Atlas Music Publishing, announces the signing of multi-talented singer/songwriter Major Myjah to an exclusive global music publishing deal.

Growing up in Miami, Major was exposed to many musical genres which left him with a diverse musical appetite ranging from The Beatles and Coldplay to Kanye. His own unique melodic style, along with his cutting-edge, eclectic sound has led to collaborations with Chris Brown, Afrojack, Damian Marley, Ro James, Asher Roth, No ID, Mozella, Sir Nolan and one of his favorite writers, James Fauntleroy. Major has also contributed his rich vocal timbre on tour dates with Asher Roth and Kymani Marley. He collected significant radio airplay across Europe at age 12 with “My Sunshine,” and at 18 released his debut EP Trouble with Warner Bros. Records, earning rave reviews from hip-hop, R&B, reggae, and pop critics as well as a spot on Tidal’s “Artist on the Rise 2015” list. Mikey Fresh, who premiered the 8-track EP on, stated, “Major’s voice can’t be compared with any of his contemporaries. The emotions and vibes range from sultry ballads, mid-tempo grooves and of course songs that can destroy radio.”

Not only did influential music blog, Fader think that Major's "soulful R&B-rap hybrid would fit neatly into a Top 40 rotation," they also added his single "Headed for the Dark" as “one of 13 songs you need in your life.

Jennifer Blakeman, Chief Creative Officer, Atlas Music Publishing, concurs. “It’s a rare moment when a publisher has the opportunity to meet with an artist/songwriter who has the depth of skill that Major Myjah has at such a young age. All of us at Atlas are inspired not only by his genuine talent but also his work ethic and his humility. There is no limit to his future as a creator and we are thrilled to be part of his journey.”

Major, who is working on his sophomore EP, Selfish expressed satisfaction with his new publishing partner. "I'm super excited about signing to Atlas," he said. "The team there is obviously passionate about publishing and just as passionate about my music and creative vision. It's the best feeling to be working with a team of people who genuinely believe in my art and want to be part of delivering it to the world."
